Product Overview
The MYP16 (300L) magnetic stirrer with weighing is custom-made to combine weighing and magnetic stirring. Braked swivel casters allow easy movement and positioning. The housing is formed from bent 304 stainless steel. The magnetic drive uses our brushless DC motor and current computer-based closed-loop control for high torque and precise settings. Electronic weighing uses a Mettler-Toledo sensor for accurate, repeatable measurements, a wide measurement range and selectable capacities.
This unit combines an electronic scale and a large-capacity magnetic stirrer. The right side of the control panel controls stirring, and the left side controls weighing.
I. Main Technical Specifications:
1. Power supply: AC220V±10%
2. Stirring timer: 1-9999min
3. Stirring speed: 100-750r/min
4. Maximum resolution: 0.01kg
5. Maximum weighing capacity: 500kg
6. Maximum stirring capacity: 300L (H2O), custom-made
7. Weighing accuracy: 0.2kg
II. Installation:
Install the control panel on the main unit before use, observing its orientation. First insert the circular connector into the socket on the main unit, aligning the groove. Then secure the panel with four sets of bolts and nuts.
III. Operating Instructions:
A. Stirrer (right side of the control panel)
1. Settings: connect power and switch on. The speed indicator lights and the right display shows the factory speed setting. Press Set; the right display flashes. Use + or - to select the speed. Press Set again; the time indicator lights. Set the timer, or 0 for untimed operation. Press Set again; the right display shows 1-xx. Use + or - to set acceleration (n rpm/second). Maximum acceleration is 99rpm/second and minimum acceleration is 1rpm/second. With viscous solutions, excessive acceleration can cause stir-bar decoupling, while too little causes slow starting; 30-50 is generally suitable. Press Set again to finish. The speed indicator lights and the right display shows the selected speed. Settings are retained after power loss.
2. After setting, perform a brief no-load test. Press Stir; the indicator lights and the stirrer starts. Check for abnormal sounds and verify that the set speed is reached. If normal, press Stir to stop.
3. Center the vessel on the stirrer and place a stir bar in the center of the vessel. Press Stir to start operation.
Note: The vessel must be made from a non-ferromagnetic material, and must not be copper or aluminum alloy. Its base must be flat and smooth, with a thickness of 1.5-10mm. If too thin, place a 3mm laminate sheet or another non-metallic sheet underneath.。
4. If the stir bar loses synchronization, stop immediately to prevent demagnetization.
B. Weighing (left side of the control panel)
1. After power-on and the left display's sequential self-test, an empty platform should read 0.00. If it does not read 0.00, wait for a stable display and press Tare once. The display alternates between 0.00 and the previous value. Press Confirm to reset the weighing controller to 0.00. If a U-shaped indicator appears at the far left, press Gross/Net to clear it. The weighing function is then ready for normal use.
2. Taring and Tare Memory
Press Tare once; the display alternates between 0.00 and the tare weight. Press Tare again to tare and store the tare value; the tare weight will still be displayed at the next power-on. Alternatively, after pressing Tare and seeing 0.00 alternate with the tare weight, press Confirm. The controller tares and stores the value, but at the next power-on displays the weight after subtracting the tare. This is net weight and cannot be switched to gross weight. If Tare is pressed accidentally, take no further action; the controller exits tare mode after 3 seconds.
3. Gross/Net Key and Display
Place the vessel on the scale and press Tare twice. The controller stores the tare value and displays net weight. During operation, press Gross/Net once to show gross weight with a U-shaped indicator at the far left. Press again to show net weight without that indicator.
4. Weight Increase and Decrease Indicators
During operation, the weight-increase indicator lights if the platform load increases within 10 seconds by more than 0.03kg. The weight-decrease indicator lights if it decreases within 10 seconds by more than 0.03kg.
5. Setting Upper and Lower Weight Alarm Limits:
Materials may be added while stirring until an upper alarm weight is reached, or discharged until a lower alarm weight is reached. The buzzer sounds when either set threshold is reached.
Settings: press Set once. The maximum-weight indicator lights and the display shows xxx.xx, which is the factory or previous setting. Use + or - to set the maximum weight. Press Set again; the minimum-weight indicator lights. Use + or - to set the minimum weight. Press Set again to return to normal operation; both indicators turn off.
During operation, if net weight exceeds the maximum limit or falls below the minimum limit, the buzzer sounds, the corresponding indicator lights and the display flashes the current weight. If minimum weight is set to 0, the lower-limit alarm is disabled.
6. Calibration:
The unit is normally calibrated at the factory and does not require user recalibration. Calibrate after replacing the control board or load sensor, using the following procedure:
(1) Clear the weighing platform. Hold the Calibration key while switching on. Wait during the sequential display and keep the unit stationary.
(2) When the display alternates between the current value and 100.00, place a 100kg calibration weight on the platform and wait for a stable reading. Keep the weight away from the central φ150mm area to avoid strong magnetic attraction and damage to the platform.
(3) Once the reading stabilizes, generally after more than 10 seconds, press Calibration. The display shows 0.00. Use + or - to enter the correct password and press Confirm. The controller stores the calibration value, performs a display self-test and returns to normal operation.
If the password is incorrect, the calibration value is not saved. The buzzer sounds twice and the controller remains in calibration mode.
(4) Recalibrate if the weighing error exceeds the rated value.
I. Overview:
Magnetic stirring transfers drive power through magnetic coupling to a movable stir bar at the bottom of the mixing vessel. Its rotation mixes the liquids in the vessel. With no mechanical drive connection, there is no associated contamination risk, meeting the strict hygiene requirements of pharmaceutical applications. This product also includes a Toledo electronic scale to simplify proportional liquid mixing. It is suitable for stirring and mixing non-viscous pharmaceutical liquids and beverage ingredients during preparation and filling, and is widely used for cell culture, laboratories and related pharmaceutical applications.
II. Structural Features:
The mixer consists mainly of a drive base, mixing vessel and electronic scale. The drive base contains the driving magnets, while a PTFE stir bar containing driven magnets sits at the bottom of the vessel. When the vessel is placed on the base, magnetic attraction and repulsion transfer energy. The stir bar rotates with the driving magnets. Different vessel sizes can be used. The unit is compact, lightweight, leak-free and low-wear, without dead spaces, and is easy to clean and sterilize.
A Toledo electronic scale weighs the stirred liquids for mixing in different proportions, making operation more convenient.
Set the stir-bar speed according to liquid volume. Use the lowest speed that meets process and mixing requirements to extend stir-bar life. Excessive speed can displace the bar from the center toward the vessel wall. Start at a low speed, such as 200 r/min. If insufficient, press Stop and gradually increase the speed. Stopping first allows the stir bar to restart with an acceleration phase. Once familiar with operation, set the speed directly and press Start.
Acceleration Time Setting:
The magnetic stirrer uses magnetic coupling, with no mechanical connection between the stir bar and the driving magnets beneath the vessel. During acceleration, the stir bar may fail to keep up and move away from the center. Allow sufficient acceleration time for it to follow the drive. Set acceleration time according to speed: generally at 200 r/min use 10 seconds, and at 600 r/min use 20 seconds. Higher speeds require longer acceleration times.
Deceleration Time Setting:
Deceleration time is set similarly to acceleration time, but is less critical. Approximately 15 seconds is generally suitable.
