Product Overview
To accommodate round-bottom flasks, we have fitted a heating mantle to the H01-1G magnetic stirrer. Mantle heating offers high efficiency, energy savings and good heat retention. Apart from changes in overall height and stirring capacity, the stirrer's performance and operating method remain unchanged. Because the mantle retains heat well, set the temperature difference coefficient below 50 to avoid temperature overshoot.
This stirrer automatically controls both heating plate and liquid temperatures. Temperature control accuracy depends on contact area with the heating plate, glass or stainless steel vessels, stirring volume, temperature setting and other operating conditions. A temperature difference coefficient from 2~150 can be set by the user. Select a smaller value for stainless steel beakers and a larger value for glass beakers. Use larger values for larger volumes or higher set temperatures, and smaller values for smaller volumes or lower set temperatures.
Operating Instructions:
１. Place the stirrer securely, connect the power cable, and connect the temperature sensor to the two terminals at the rear. Center the beaker containing the solution on the heating plate and add a stir bar. Immerse the sensor in the solution, insert the power plug and switch on. The speed indicator lights and the previous speed setting is displayed.
２. Speed setting: press Set once; the display flashes. Use the up or down key to select the speed. For speeds above 999, the decimal point lights to indicate that the displayed number is multiplied by 10.
3. Time setting: press Set once; the time indicator lights. Use the up or down key to set the required time.If timed operation is not required, set the time to 0.
4. Temperature setting: press Set once; the temperature indicator lights. Use the up or down key to set the required liquid temperature.
5. Temperature difference coefficient: press Set once; the temperature difference indicator lights. Use the up or down key to set the coefficient. Start with a slightly smaller value. If heating is too slow or the set temperature cannot be reached, increase the value.
6. Press Set twice; the speed indicator lights and the selected speed is displayed. Settings are complete.
7. Press Stir once; the stirring indicator lights and the stirrer accelerates from low speed to the selected speed.
8. Press Heat once; the heating indicator lights and heating starts. The red heating-up indicator means that the heating plate is energized.
9. Heating is only available while stirring. When the heating indicator is on, press Heat again to stop heating. Press Stir again to stop both stirring and heating.
10. Display current status: operate the Set key. When the speed, time or temperature indicator is lit, the display shows current speed, remaining time or liquid temperature respectively. When the heating indicator is off, the set temperature is displayed.
11. After stopping stirring, press Stir again to operate using the previous settings.
12. During operation, the up or down key adjusts stirring speed. While a key is pressed, the display shows the requested speed; after release, it returns to the previous display mode. Speed changes made during operation are not stored. At the next power-on, the original speed setting is used.
13. Only stirring speed can be adjusted during operation. To change other settings, stop stirring first and press Set until the relevant indicator lights, then enter the new value.
14. An audible alarm sounds when the set time is reached.
15. Power consumption is very low when the stirrer is stopped. For a short pause, switching off the power is not necessary.
