Temperature-Controlled and Standard Magnetic Stirrers: The Differences

　　Magnetic Stirrer Operating Principle

　　Center the vessel containing the solution on the chrome-plated plate, add a stir bar, connect power and switch on. The indicator lights and operation begins. After use, switch off and unplug. Internal and external magnets separated by a containment shell transmit motion through motor-driven magnetic coupling. Keep the instrument clean and dry to extend its service life.

　　Temperature-Controlled Magnetic Stirrer Precautions

　　1. If the stir bar jumps or stops stirring, disconnect power and check whether the supply is within 220 ±10V. Increase speed gradually from low to high; do not start directly at high speed, which can cause loss of coupling and jumping.

　　2. Temperature-controlled magnetic stirrers generally support extended heating, but ensure the digital controller is correctly set for the experimental procedure.

　　4. If electrical leakage occurs after prolonged use, check for damage to the ceramic heating tube, since the heater is connected directly to 220V, or for wiring and insulating sleeves displaced by impact. Do not dismantle or repair the unit without electrical knowledge; contact the manufacturer.
